Biography
Lana Parrilla is an American actress best known for portraying The Evil Queen / Regina Mills in the ABC fantasy drama series Once Upon a Time. Her depiction has garnered her many award nominations, taking home awards from TV Guide Award, ALMA Award, NHMC Impact Award, and a Teen Choice Award.
Parilla was a regular cast member in the fifth season of the ABC sitcom Spin City, alongside Alan Ruck and Heather Locklear. She has starred in the fourth season of Fox’s hit series 24, the action-drama series Boomtown (receiving an Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actress), Windfall, Swingtown, and as Dr. Eva Zambrano in the short-lived medical drama Miami Medical.
In 2021, she played the role of Rita Castillo in the second season of Why Women Kill, the dark comedy anthology series for which she won a Gracie Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
She has appeared in several feature films, including The Tax Collector (2020), alongside Shia LeBouef and George Lopez, and, most recently, in Netflix’s sci-fi action Atlas (2024), which starred Jennifer Lopez, Simu Liu, Sterling K. Bown, and Mark Strong.
