"A Lot has happened in the Last 20 Years": Dr. Crusher's Legacy

In this panel we’ll spend some time discussing whether Beverly Crusher’s backstory in Picard rehearses the “medicine woman” character played by Jane Seymour. We’ll query the (outsized?) role that reproduction plays in the season, the figure of the artificial mother (who gets to be a mother?), and make our case that Crusher’s 20 years away from Starfleet as a take-no-prisoners border dwelling doctor merits her robust inclusion in the proposed Legacy spin off.
